Recently bought a car here. We were a little concerned with the full payment prior to collection policy (paid in 2 halfs), but when we collected the car, they had completed all the little extras we had noted. Staff was friendly, and seemed honest and a few weeks later the car is still driving great many thanks.

I have been using this garage for service and MOT for about 6 years now. I have always found them honest and reliable. They have always done a professional job and explained the work required and done at a good price.

We broke down on the way to Cornwall from Yorkshire and were referred to Bulford by a garage that couldn’t take us in at that time. The guys made every effort to see to our car as quick as they could, communication was great and it turned out to be a small problem causing a glitch in the onboard computer which they fixed and charged us only 20 pound for. Amazing service through and through, these guys were real life savers. Thanks so much for your professionalism and honesty!

A local Somerset Car dealer with a good selection of different types of cars, which is what I discovered during my short time there. I was interested in purchasing a vehicle, following the death of my late father who sadly passed away April 2022, and up until then I had the privileges of driving his car. I am grateful my father left me enough money to purchase my own personal car which was his wishes. As with all monies in this manner, there is a delay in getting closure. I had in mind to approach some local garages with a view to putting a nominal deposit down, and paying the full balance once the monies were available to me. Sadly, Bulford garage were unable to grant this kind of deal. I found the member of staff friendly and not at all pressure sale or anything like that. It is a pity I was unable to secure my next personal car on this occasion. They did advise me I could apply for finance, but that never worked out either.

James and Rob were both a pleasure to deal with and were very accomodating to myself and my girlfriend as we travelled from Ireland to purchase a 2014 VW Polo. A fault was found before handover and James promptly informed us and arranged for VW to rectify immediately, and assured us that they would pay the bill if the car had to go to VW in Ireland if the problem couldn’t be solved on time! The car was keenly priced and mileage was very reasonable for a car of that age!

The after service here is brilliant. Quick turn around on a repair that they couldve said wasnt covered on the warranty but they did anyway. Cant recommend highly enough! Good choice of cars aswell.

I bought an Audi A3 from here at a very reasonable price, I did have a few issues, but these things do happen. They have been dealt with in such a pleasant way I was shocked after hearing horror stories from other dealers, reputable company and James is very easy to deal with. Outstanding before and after sales service.

I highly recommend Bulford Garage, both sales and after-sales. I purchased a car back from them back in August, and started to have a few issues a month or 2 in (it’s a used car- it can happen!) The problems were identified and resolved promptly. They are lovely people to deal with, and kept me informed as to what was happening at every step. The warranty that was given to me when I bought my car was fully honoured and I feel they went above and beyond to fix the issues the car had. It is now a much better car to drive. I am sorry that you felt belittled & demeaned by us and as much as I do not wish to continue that feeling, I feel it is only right that I correct a few points that you have failed to mention in your comment.

Firstly you have complained about the condition of our courtesy car, but failed to mention that within hours of us receiving your complaint, you returned so that we could supply you with another courtesy car.

As an independent garage we are not obliged to offer a courtesy car. However at our expense we have 3 courtesy cars that we offer free of charge to our customers should they require transport. We have a system in place to ensure these cars remain clean. However often these cars are returned to us and leave straight away to the next customer. So whilst every attempt is made to ensure these cars remain clean, it is not always possible.

Secondly you have mentioned that we scratched your rear bumper but failed to say how we handled the situation. As soon as the accident occurred we contacted yourself and admitted our fault. We apologised and made it clear that we would rectify this at our cost. The rear bumper has been fully repaired including removing scuffs that were not our responsibility.

All vehicles are sold with a 3 months parts & labour warranty on all failed items. Every failed item on this vehicle has been rectified free of charge. You complained of intermittent spongy brakes. A considerable amount of time was spent trying to reproduce this fault whilst the vehicle was onsite, however we were unable to do so. As this vehicle was new to you, we were unsure on your knowledge of diesel vehicles and felt it was our duty to advise you that on a diesel vehicle brake pedal creep is standard. This would rule out any misdiagnosis. Unfortunately by doing so we have left you feeling belittled & demeaned. Obviously this was never our intention.

At Bulford Garage we try to maintain a very high level of customer service. We apologise again that you feel that you have not received this level of service. However we do not feel that there is anymore that we could have done to satisfy your needs.

Very courteous and friendly team. Being new to the area we went here on a recommendation and weren’t disappointed. The team dealt with my gf. Spoke clearly and honestly and looked after the car and gave open and laymen’s information about the issue. Saved potentially hundreds of £s in unnecessary work on my gf’s car. Would return and put my trust in them.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would make an exception in this instance. I have recently purchased my third car from Bulford Car Sales so I am obviously pleased with the service provided. However, I think that is something of an understatement! On each occasion I have received helpful, friendly, professional advice in choosing a car to suit my requirements. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. Their prices are very competitive with other companies I have approached. My advice to anyone looking for a used car would be to go and have a chat. Can’t do any harm.
I should add that the cars I purchased were very satisfactory and I had no problems
